Shanghai
2010
Over Easter 2010, the World Music Academy bring students to one of China’s most prestigious music institutions, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, for an enriching six-day, five-night musical journey.
Led by faculty members of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, students will learn in a supportive and inspiring environment where they can experience the joy of music while gaining first-hand exposure to the learning culture of a nationally renowned conservatory. This is a rare opportunity for young musicians to broaden their musical horizons through both education and cultural exchange.
A COMPREHENSIVE JOURNEY OF OBSERVATION, LEARNING, AND PERFORMANCE
The 2010 Easter String Tour @ Shanghai Conservatory of Music is specially designed for violin and cello students. Under the guidance of professional conservatory instructors, participants will engage in string masterclasses, small ensemble training, and a variety of musical enrichment activities throughout the six-day programme. These experiences are designed to nurture musical curiosity, deepen artistic understanding, and enhance both individual performance and ensemble skills.
Observation and performance are essential components of a well-rounded music education. During the tour, students will attend performances by Shanghai Conservatory students, providing valuable opportunities to observe and learn from their peers. At the conclusion of the programme, participants will perform in a Graduation Concert, showcasing their achievements and sharing the joy of music with local audiences.
Students who successfully complete the training programme and Graduation Concert will receive a certificate issued by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in recognition of their participation and accomplishments.
