2013

After MYO successful performance in Musikverein (well-known as Golden Hall) last summer in 2012, we are honoured to be invited once again to hold our second performance at the prestigious Brahms Saal (Brahms Hall) of Musikverein this year. This is an encouraging recognition to MYO in the quest for artistic excellence and a milestone for every member of MYO. Thus, we are delighted to introduce you our 2013 MYO Vienna Musikverein Performance Tour.

This year, we will bring our orchestra led by MYO Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Ms. Synthia Ko and a newly formed ensemble - String Chamber led by MYO Head of Strings, Mr. Goh Ching, to perform up to four concerts respectively at Brahms Hall of Musikverein, parish church of Aflenz, Bruck, as well as the city of Kafenburg.

You’ll also have valuable opportunity to be guest conducted by recipient of the Nikolaus Harnoncourt Award and former Director of Johannes Brahms Music School (JBMS), Professor Ernst Smole. Apart from the performance, members will be coached by distinguished musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra(VPO), artists and professors from Austria at the beautiful town, Aflenz.

In addition to music training, you will tour historic sites and follow the foot steps of famous composers. Members will also be immersed in Austrian folk music and participate in Austrian folk dance, as well as form chamber music ensembles amongst friends and play music. This journey will truly become a valuable lifetime experience of music enlightenment for all MYO members. I believe if you have joined us last year, you will agree without doubt that this is an excellent opportunity for you to further explore in the city of music in the world – Vienna.

We look forward to seeing you to be part of this milestone with all of us.
