The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (MYO) was honoured to be invited to appear on RTHK TV 31’s programme Hong Kong United, where we shared how MYO supports young musicians as they grow, from their early musical journeys to performing confidently on stage as part of an orchestra.

The episode takes you inside our rehearsal room, where young musicians learn more than just notes. Through playing together, they pick up patience, teamwork, and listening through weekly ensemble training and collaboration across different sections under the guidance of a conductor. Many children love learning music, but joining an orchestra gives them the chance to experience a completely new side of music, one that’s built on connection, harmony, and shared achievement!
